Operators of Handling Carts

Job Description

As an Operator of Handling Carts, you will be responsible for moving goods, materials, or products within the facility using carts and other handling equipment. You will ensure that items are transported efficiently, safely, and on time, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the warehouse or production area.

The Work You’ll Do:
Cart Handling: Operate handling carts to move goods, materials, and products from one location to another within the facility.

Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading carts to ensure smooth material flow, including stacking, organizing, and securing items.

Inventory Movement: Transport inventory to appropriate storage locations, ensuring that goods are properly organized and accessible.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating carts to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Maintenance Checks: Conduct regular checks on carts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any issues or damages to supervisors.

Assist with Stocking: Help move products to designated areas and assist in the restocking process as needed.

Team Support: Collaborate with warehouse staff and other team members to ensure the efficient flow of materials and operations.

Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with experience in handling carts or similar equipment is preferred but not required.

Skills: Basic understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and equipment handling.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move items for extended periods. Comfortable operating handling carts and other manual transport equipment.

Certifications: Any relevant certifications in material handling or warehouse safety are a bonus.
