We are looking for a skilled and reliable Meat Processing and Preparation Worker to join our team. This role involves processing and preparing meat for sale or cooking by ensuring that all cuts are made accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of meat handling, processing techniques, and safety protocols.
The Work You’ll Do:
Process various types of meat (beef, pork, chicken, etc.) for retail or wholesale distribution
Trim, cut, and debone meat, ensuring precise and consistent cuts
Operate meat processing equipment such as saws, grinders, and slicers
Ensure all meat is properly stored and labeled according to health and safety standards
Prepare meat parts such as steaks, chops, ground meat, sausages, and other cuts
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety regulations
Inspect meat quality to ensure freshness, proper texture, and color
Handle raw meat in compliance with hygiene protocols to prevent contamination
Assist with packaging meat products for sale or transport
Maintain inventory of meat products and assist with stock rotation
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in meat processing or butcher work (preferred but not mandatory)
Knowledge of various meat cuts, processing techniques, and food safety standards
Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy meat cuts and operate equipment
Good attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards in meat preparation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and cleanliness
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
Adherence to health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in meat processing or a similar role is a plus
Knowledge of food safety regulations and safe handling practices
Ability to use meat processing tools and machinery
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25-30 kg)
Ability to work in cold storage areas
Certification in food handling or safety (preferred)
