Job Description

Scaffolders in Ship Repairing Yards play a critical role in building safe and stable access platforms for repair teams working on ships and marine structures. They ensure scaffolds are assembled, inspected, and dismantled according to strict safety guidelines. Accuracy, strength, and safety awareness are essential in supporting ship repair operations.

The Work You’ll Do:

Erect, assemble, and secure scaffolding structures around ships, docks, and repair areas.

Inspect existing scaffolds for safety, stability, and proper alignment.

Modify or adjust scaffolding to meet specific repair or maintenance requirements.

Dismantle scaffolding safely after work is completed.

Load, move, and organize scaffolding tubes, boards, clamps, and fittings.

Work closely with welders, engineers, and repair teams to provide proper access platforms.

Follow all safety standards, fall-protection rules, and yard procedures.

Setting up scaffolds around hulls, decks, engines, and ship interiors.

Checking weight limits, securing pipes, and tightening fittings.

Labeling, tagging, and ensuring scaffold safety compliance.

Assisting in planning scaffold layouts for repair tasks.
