Construction Worker (Mason, Shuttering Carpenters, Wall Painter, Tile Fitter, Gypsum Board Worker)
Job Description
Construction Workers play a crucial role in bringing architectural plans to life through skilled craftsmanship and teamwork. This includes masons, shuttering carpenters, wall painters, tile fitters, and gypsum board workers who contribute their expertise to build, finish, and enhance structures safely and efficiently.
The Work You’ll Do:
Masons: Lay bricks, stones, and concrete blocks to construct walls, foundations, and other structures according to blueprints and specifications.
Shuttering Carpenters: Build and install temporary wooden or metal forms (shuttering) to support concrete until it sets, ensuring accurate shapes and structural stability.
Wall Painters: Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring smooth and even finishes.
Tile Fitters: Measure, cut, and lay tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings with precision, following design layouts and maintaining quality standards.
Gypsum Board Workers: Install drywall panels to walls and ceilings, cut openings for fixtures, and finish joints for a seamless surface ready for painting or decorating.
Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Collaborate closely with other trades and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven skills and experience in your specific trade (masonry, carpentry, painting, tiling, gypsum board installation).
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor under various weather conditions.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Working hours: 8-10 hours/day, 5-6 days/week
